Hi I’m Chrissie, I’m 31 and have been training with Katie since July 2020. I’ve always been into exercising, my favorite being running, but over the past couple years I’ve been doing a lot more strength training classes. Once I started personal training with Katie, I started seeing a huge increase in my pr’s for all movements. More recently my deadlift, 205lbs, and bench press, 100lbs. It may not seem heavy to some but to me I’m damn proud. Katie has structured my programming to help me reach obtainable goals. My muscles are making appearances in places I didn’t think muscles were and my form has been getting better and better to help reduce any unnecessary back pain. Katie has also set up my nutrition plan and made me realize that I don’t eat enough food for the amount of working out I am doing. She pushes me and challenges me daily to hit limits I didn’t know I could even reach before. For that I’m grateful. I’m stronger than I’ve ever been and am also gaining the cutest peach 🍑 I didn’t know I could get. I look forward to seeing my results, reaching my next goal, and raising all my personal records all while dancing through every personal training session. I started with Rebel Fitness in Dec 2019. In the beginning I did 2-3 in person classes a week with several different coaches, then transitioned to zoom classes in the spring. In June I started the online person training and have found a system that is a perfect fit for me. Rebel always delivers a fun and challenging workout. But I really appreciate having coach Katie Berrey tailor a set of workouts to my specific goals each month. The comfort and convenience of working out from home is extremely valuable to me. Also I can fit the workouts in anytime no matter my work/life schedule. As I close in on 40 I’m in the best shape of my life, thank you Rebel Fitness!

“My name is Liz Wilson. I’ve been doing physical training with Katie for almost five years and I couldn’t be happier with the results she’s helped me achieve.


I started my fitness journey looking for an experienced female trainer with certifications in plant based nutrition. I was recommended to Katie several times and we began working together to build strength and muscle while transitioning me into a full-time vegan / plant based diet and lifestyle. I had never lifted a barbell before I met Katie and the kindness, patience, and genuine care she has shown me over the years has helped build my confidence in gym spaces tremendously.


Over the last five years Katie has programmed my weekly workouts, trained me in person, trained me virtually, and helped me optimize my nutrition to guide me toward achieving my health and fitness goals. We’ve done everything from prepping me for wedding photos, training to run a half marathon, and lifting heavy to gain muscle. She’s guided me through counting macros, and when we discovered that wasn’t the path for me, she came up with foods I can easily make while intuitively eating to achieve my goals.


I personally appreciate her willingness to listen to my goals as they evolve and change and be there to help me train and eat for them. I also appreciate her ability to encourage and push me while also understanding my limits and taking into account my life outside of the health and fitness space. She understands mental health and wellness are just as important to my well being as my nutrition and fitness.


Five years later and I’m vegan strong (never looked back) and have built more muscle than ever. I know I will continue to work with Katie as long as we’re both able because she has also become a great friend.

“I’ve been a part of the Rebel family for over 2 years. I started my fitness journey with a goal of losing weight & becoming more fit overall. As that goal was realized I started focusing more on strength & muscle building. After losing 25 pounds I definitely felt my like my booty was lacking 😩 When Katie announced the start of BOOTYcamp I signed up immediately. I have attended regularly & absolutely love it. The setting is beautiful. Something about grinding in the sun & redwoods makes it hurt a little less 🤪 Katie provides multiple levels of resistance bands that she incorporates into each workout. All you have to bring is a mat. The music is motivating (& often booty themed) & the group of women who regularly attend make it so fun. There is no doubt Katie knows her stuff! I am so happy with my progress so far & look forward to this class EVERY week.”

I have been working with Katie for the past 3-4 months, mostly with nutrition coaching, but it has amounted to so much more. She has helped me to transform my relationship with food, as well teaching me how to nourish my body, and perform to the best of my abilities. Katie is full of knowledge and compassion, always willing to answer any questions, and really wants her clients to succeed. My goals were more oriented around feeling better as a whole and creating better habits, rather than physical goals. 7 years ago, I found myself struggling to be satisfied with working out and healthy eating. I had attended various gyms, workout classes, participated in in-home programs, and tried every possible diet there was and was seeing little to no results. Katie has just recently begun ‘Love 2 Live Garage Gym’ (now known as Rebel Fitness) and after seeing pictures of noticeable results from clients she was training, I reached out to her and the rest is history. Katie met with me right away, set up a fitness program and nutrition plan that met my needs. The program was challenging but it was done in a way that made me want to keep coming back. She found and encouraged my strengths and helped strengthen my weaknesses. My schedule was extremely challenging at times to work with but Katie always was able to find a way to work around it. After a few months, I starting seeing substantial results! I found my love for fitness through Katie and have been a client ever since. The personal attentiveness and desire to see her clients succeeded is one of the many attributes that makes Rebel so wonderful!

“When I first started with Rebel, I was stepping away from a sedentary lifestyle and a poorly balanced diet. I will never forget the first few weeks of changing my lifestyle and working out and eating healthier. It was rough. But then I started to notice a change. My old eating habits involved lots of snack foods and empty calories, after which, I would still be hungry. Once I focused on giving my body the proper amount of protein, I noticed that a meal would satisfy me. I used to joke that life was about counting down the minutes until it was once again socially acceptable to consume food, but all of a sudden, I was having to remind myself to eat. My more recent attempts at weight loss prior to Rebel had involved an extreme reduction of carbohydrates. I would end the day starving and often times would give up because I just couldn’t hang. I never imagined that I could consistently lose weight while consuming tons of grams of carbs daily. I had tried it all: counting carbs, counting WW points, counting calories. I always struggled and gained the weight back because I didn’t really grasp the concept of macronutrients and figuring out the proper balance my body needed. Trying to hit goals Katie established for me was new. It’s shown me that when properly balanced, carbs are fuel. I learned that a lack of protein and water was causing my constant state of hunger. I love having a trainer that looks closely at what I’m doing, checks in with me regularly to see how I’m feeling, helps guide me in making adjustments when needed, and teaches me to listen to my body.”

“Hi! My name is Nicole. I am 44 and have been an gym lover for like 20+ years. I used to live in California and train with Katie in person. When I left California, I asked Katie if she would continue to program for me. I had a handful of weights, a few pairs of heavy kettlebells, a pull-up bar, some bands and a handful of hand weights. For 2 years, years Katie has found ways to challenge me.


Katie has a gift! She has a plethora of knowledge of the human body and nutrition. She is very good at knowing how to cater to individual needs for her clients. She provides videos of of new exercises (for form) and clear instructions in her individualized workouts. I have had many trainers over the years. Honestly Katie is one and a million. “Hi! I’m Hayley, a work from home mama with two toddlers. Joining Rebel has been one of the best decisions! I have been wanting to start exercising outside of my home for a long time, but was always intimidated thinking I would be way out of my league. The “come to Bootycamp, the first one’s free!” is what sold me, and now I can’t imagine my week without a Rebel workout. I love the small group training sessions where I have met some amazing women. The hour class flies by and even though we may complain the majority of it, I always leave with a smile. “I began working with Katie about five months ago regarding nutrition/macro coaching. I had always considered myself a fairly healthy eater, but wasn't seeing the results I wanted and was feeling frustrated. Katie helped me adjust my diet and macros, without make me feel deprived, or like I was sacrificing any of my favorite treats. She broke down so many of my nutrition and body image myths and mental road blocks. As the months evolved, Katie also began coaching my workouts, too. I love the app she uses, and the style of workouts. She really tailors them so you can do them from anywhere (I live 200 miles away!) and still feel connected. She designs nutrition and workout programs for "life", and while she guides you, you are able to create your own destiny. As we know life can be hectic and crazy, and Katie makes sure you never sacrifice your goals, or those moments with your friends and family. “Oh boy, I'm not sure where to even start! About six months ago, I was just under my highest weight ever and I was very unhappy. I was refusing to buy bigger clothes because I didn't want to acknowledge how out of control I had let myself get. I also didn’t like being in pictures unless I posed a certain way to make myself look smaller. I knew I needed something to change and I wanted it, but nothing had pushed me to do something about it. Lo and behold, Katie announced the Transformation Program and I knew right then and there that, that is what I needed!

Since the start of the program I have lost just over 40lbs, 35.5 inches and 17.1% body fat. My A1C test results are lower than ever before. I am able to take my wedding ring off to get it cleaned. I don’t have to worry about not fitting into the biggest size work pants I own. I absolutely love feeling the muscles I’m gaining and I’m happier emotionally than I have been in awhile.
There have been a lot of ups and downs over the last 6 months and Katie has been there every time I needed her. I am sooo thankful for Katie’s coaching, guidance and advice! Here’s to the next couple months! ”
