My name is Katie and I’m so excited you’ve found Rebel Strength & Wellness. I have been in the fitness industry for over 13 years and it is truly my passion in life to help women become healthy and strong, inside and out. I began my fitness career as a group exercise instructor, then became a personal trainer and continued pursuing other nutrition and fitness certifications. Today I am a multi certified coach with over a decade of experience helping women. In this time I have explored so many different types of fitness, nutrition and lifestyles.
From cardio junkie/low fat high carb runner, to avid crossfitter and paleo enthusiast. I’ve undertrained, over trained, battled eating disorders, unhealthy diet culture lies and learned everything the hard way about how to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle, while discovering who I want to be as both an athlete and a coach. Much of this was learned through trial and error and my own struggles. I am a huge believer in constantly learning and improving yourself. When you know better, do better. Stay humble and open to changing your ways with time and experience.
My personal passions in both coaching and in my own fitness are technique and movement correction, strength training, olympic lifting, power lifting, and booty building! I coach all fitness levels of women, ranging from people who have never exercised before to elite athletes that desire to compete, and I love it all! There is so much joy in the journey.
I am a wife to an incredible, supportive husband and a mama to two amazing kiddos. Our 7 year old has high functioning autism and is the most hilarious, sweet, empathetic and loving little boy. Our baby, who is one and a half years old, was born with a rare skin disease called ichthyosis. He spent the first 6 months of his life in and out of the NICU constantly. He also has some unknown neurological and development issues and a g-tube. He is making progress in all ways but he requires a lot of care. His needs are the reason I decided to scale back my career and only work part time, fully revolving my work around my kiddos schedules. I spend a LOT of my time devoted to his many weekly appts and development, so I pursue my career on a much smaller scale now with limited availability.
This new structure of business for Rebel allows me to have the perfect balance between my family life and my career. To be there fully for my family, while also continuing to do what I love. It’s a blessing to be able to do both and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for my family and my business.
In my spare time (ha!) I am a bookworm and lover of outdoor adventures! Oh, and I LOVE shopping;)

I love having a trainer that looks closely at what I’m doing, checks in with me regularly to see how I’m feeling, helps guide me in making adjustments when needed, and teaches me to listen to my body”

I have had many trainers over the years. Honestly, Katie is one in a million. She is more than a trainer/coach, she is an incredible human. She doesnt just focus on your physical shape. She recognizes that there is a wholeness in becoming healthy. It is important to be well in all areas of your life.

As the weeks went on and I became stronger physically, my mental and emotional strength also grew immensely. I saw light where there had been darkness. I began to find joy again.
